about

WATERSHED features a new song cycle composed by Ailís Ní Ríain and is performed by contralto Julie Comparini and pianist Yonit Kosovske. The cycle contains five songs on poetry from Jessica Brown’s book 'And Say' in a profound exploration of the human relationship with land and water, with a special focus on areas in the west of Ireland. The album also includes poetry readings interwoven with soundscapes along and near Lough Derg in counties Clare and Tipperary.
